So, if you're going to be away from home for any reason, Cosy Cats provides an affordable and caring alternative to a cattery, looking after your cat in the comfort of their own home.
Our Services
We offer one or two visits per day, during which we will feed your cat and refresh their water, clean litter trays, administer any necessary medication and of course, give lots of fuss and attention. For added reassurance, we are more than happy to send daily photos and feedback to your phone via WhatsApp.

During our daily visits, we soon build a relationship with your cat, allowing them to adjust to the new routine while you are away. Whether you choose to let them come and go as they please through their cat flap, or you prefer to keep them indoors, you can relax knowing that your cat will be happy, safe, comfortable and well cared for in their own home.
Additional security benefits
For your added peace of mind, we also offer additional services such as bringing in post, turning lights on/off, opening/closing curtains and managing bins to make your home look occupied while you're away.

How it all started
Janet Dickson - Owner of Cosy Cats
I’ve lived in Mickleover for over 30 years and have had a variety of pets throughout my life - cats, dogs, gerbils, hamsters, rabbits and a tortoise.
My love of caring for cats began when I started weekend work at a local kennels and cattery. A few years later, I eagerly accepted the chance to work part-time at the cattery where I used to board my own cat. It soon turned into a full-time role, also running the cattery when the owners were away. I worked there for over 11 years, gaining extensive experience and thoroughly enjoying every moment.
When I left the cattery, I decided that I would put my experience into looking after cats in their own environment and that's when I started Cosy Cats.
For me it's about the care and welfare of the cats. Play and fuss is just as important as feeding and keeping their environment clean, making sure they are well, and knowing when to give them affection and when to give them space!

I've recently joined Janet at Cosy Cats and I'm loving it! I've owned several cats myself over the past 27 years and know how important it is to find the right person to look after them when you're away. I've had experience looking after all ages, from kittens to seniors, and fully understand that every one of them is different, with their own unique personality traits, likes, dislikes and needs.
I first met Janet when she worked at the cattery where I used to take my cats. She was so kind and gentle, especially with my super senior, Poppy. I knew they were always in good hands, so I'm really delighted to be able to work with her at Cosy Cats.
